BRIGHTON NIGHTWRITERS

Brighton Nightwriters is a group of writers that has been getting together once a week to discuss each others’ work in a friendly, supportive atmosphere for over twenty years. Some members are younger than the group, but some of us have been going along since the beginning. Some are complete newcomers; some attend regularly, some irregularly.

Brighton Nightwriters meets upstairs at The Pub with No Name at the top of Southover Street, Brighton, every Wednesday at 7.30pm.

To contact Brighton Nightwriters just come along to one of our weekly meetings or phone Tim Shelton-Jones on (01273) 505642.

If you want to read more from Brighton Nightwriters we have a number of older books and newsletters and some examples of our writing.

Latest News !

(As at 21 November 2009)

The group continues to congregate every Wednesday in the Pub With No Name (see our Meetings page for details). Membership remains buoyant, but new writers - whether aspiring, perspiring, inspiring or expiring - are always very welcome.

Shorelines 2010 - is nearly here. Thanks to all who have contributed to our latest anthology, and in particular to Colin Chalmers for editing and generally making it all happen and to Jonathan Cunningham for printing the books via Lightning Source. There will be a LAUNCH!! - at the Lord Nelson (36 Trafalgar Street) on Thursday December 10th at around 8pm. Those present at the launch of Shorelines 1 at the Nelson will need no further encouragement to attend.

Xmas !!

That means our annual ‘do’ and AGM - this year on Wednesday December 16th (upstairs in the Pub With No Name). Format will be the same as previous years, so please bring along someone else’s writing to read to the group (or maybe a song, or even a game or some magic tricks…) Food will be provided by the pub (courtesy of your weekly contributions). The evening starts at 7.30pm with our AGM, but we aim to move on to festivities by 8pm.
